A traveler wants to visit before booking: how does it work?
The visit takes place **after booking**, never before. Before payment, neither your phone number nor your address is shared with the traveller: this is what protects the payment, for both of you.
In order:
1. You accept their request (or they book directly if your listing has instant booking enabled).
2. They book on CasaGiga. From that moment, **the dates are theirs**: they are blocked in your calendar and no one else can book them. On that day they only pay the service fee; your deposit is charged to their card one week later.
3. They receive your phone number, email address, and property address, and you arrange the visit together.
For the traveller, this is a real commitment: if they cancel, the service fee is never refunded, and your deposit is yours to keep as soon as it has been charged.
**After the visit, everything stays on CasaGiga.** If the traveller offers to rent directly from you, or asks you to cancel on your side to get a refund and deal off-platform, the answer is no. This is prohibited for 12 months after their first contact (non-circumvention clause in our general terms and conditions): our commission would be charged to you, and your account may be suspended. If they no longer want to come, it is up to them to cancel.
In the meantime, tell them in the conversation that you will be happy to show them around: it reassures them, and it is often what triggers the booking.
