Who answers travellers: you, or the Casa assistant?
You speak first. As soon as a traveller writes in one of your conversations, you get an email « A traveller wrote to you » with their message, their dates and their group size (a burst of messages only triggers one email). Questions about your place — rules, noise, parties and events, neighbours, bedding, equipment, timings, arrangements — are passed to you: the Casa assistant does not answer them on your behalf. Casa answers on its own, instantly, on four subjects only, because making the traveller wait would cost you the booking: your free dates — but only if an iCal link feeds your calendar: on a hand-kept calendar an unblocked date proves nothing, so Casa tells the traveller that nothing is blocked on your side and asks you to confirm, instead of announcing « it's free » (turning a date down, on the other hand, it always does on its own: you wrote it), the price from your own rates (computed by the same engine as the Book button — never an invented price, and never a discount, which is yours alone to give), requests for contact details or for a visit before booking, and how the platform works. If you haven't replied after two hours — or the next morning when the message arrives at night — Casa steps in with what it knows about your listing, so no traveller is left without an answer. Answering yourself still converts far better: it's your reply that triggers the booking. And once the stay is paid, moderation stops between you and that guest: you can share your phone number, your address, whatever you need to prepare their arrival — they already have your details in their account.
