Cancellation and refund
On CasaGiga, payment is made in three stages: on the day of booking you only pay the CasaGiga service fees, which hold your dates; the deposit set by the host is charged to the same card seven days later; and the balance on the date shown in the listing. The exact amounts and dates are displayed before payment and shown again in your account.
What you lose if you cancel depends on the timing:
• **Before the deposit is charged** (the first 7 days): only the service fees are retained. The deposit is never charged.
• **After the deposit is charged**: the service fees and deposit remain with the host — they blocked their dates for your group and turned away other guests. The balance, however, is not charged if you cancel before its due date.
• **After the balance due date**: the balance, already charged, is also non-refundable.
If the host cancels, you receive a full refund (everything charged, including service fees), automatically to your card within 5 to 10 business days.
In cases of force majeure (documented exceptional event), contact us: each situation is reviewed individually.
