The tourist tax, how it works

When a tourist tax applies, it is already **included in the displayed price** and paid online at the time of booking. You therefore have **nothing to pay on-site** — the amount appears in the price breakdown, before payment. CasaGiga collects this tax on behalf of the host and **passes it on in full**: it is then the host's responsibility to declare it and remit it to their local authority. Like everything else, it goes through the platform's secure payment system. If no tourist tax appears in the price breakdown, it means it is not due for this accommodation.
