It is here, along a path the Casamitjana family has walked since the year 1100 — yes, documented — that Mas Casamitjana drives its roots into a millennia-old Catalan soil.
Jaume and Eva do not simply host: they share. Their mornings begin before dawn, among the animals and the orchard, and it is this quiet energy, this generosity of everyday gesture, that they pass on to their guests. From the moment of arrival, they take the time to introduce the children to each member of the farm — the animals have names, histories, and suddenly the youngest visitors no longer want to leave. The property can accommodate large groups, blended families and groups of friends alike: enough space for everyone to find their own corner, enough common ground for everyone to come together.
Breakfasts and dinners outdoors are the ritual around which everything revolves. I recommend if you want to escape with family and friends. We have been there 6 pairs with 14 kids. Enough place for everybody. You can enjoy common breakfasts or dinner outside of house with great views. Interesting places for hiking all around. Swimming pool and animals (especially horses) are part of it
Amazing place with amazing hosts. Jaume & Eva explained to us and our girl very patiently and with a lot of desire about the animals they have on the farm. The place is amazing in its beauty and we really hope we can come back! Thank you very much (Mika)
A farm belonging to the family Casamitjana since 1100 (yes! documented). Eva and Jaime are tireless to welcome you the best possible way. They improve the farm constantly. Incredibly quiet, amazing views, swimming pool, woods, grass, animals for the children to see and pet (poneys, rabbits, sheep, hens, pigs, ducks, birds). 3 wonderful houses. Splendid for big families and several families together. We were there with 14 very happy children! Close to all natural scenery from La Fageda, you can also simply wonder in the woods. A must!
We had a wonderful stay at Casa mitjana at the top of the hill!! The hosts (Eva & Jaume & kids) were very kind and warm people. We stayed at the cabanya with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room & kitchen! The view of our terrace was amazing. Our son liked to ride on his bike and there was place enough to do that. There are a lot of places to visit in the area: volcano's, nice villages such as Olot, Besalu, Girona, the coast, waterfalls, ... Relaxing at the swimming pool is also possible. We hope to come back to this wonderful place! Big hug to Eva and Jaume from Ronald & Eveline & Thor.
Amazing place. The hosts are really kind and friendly and little kids will have a lot of fun there with the animals they have.
