We booked a rural cottage through this platform. After making the payment, it appeared as confirmed. A day later, in an early morning email, they indicated that the payment had been rejected without explaining who or what was responsible for the rejection. The accommodation provider claims that the system hadn't notified them and they hadn't blocked the dates. Now we're without accommodation, and Escapada Rural is leaving the solution entirely up to us. I've been unable to contact customer service, only a bot on their website, to find out their policy in these cases. Based on this experience, I would suggest not trusting this website. Censorship in reviews. Through Escapada Rural, you cannot receive reliable information about other travelers' experiences at certain accommodations. This past Christmas, my family and I stayed at the Mallos de Huesca Tourist Apartments in Fontellas, and unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with the condition of the accommodation and the owner's response. When we tried to leave a review about our experience on Escapada Rural, they told us that the owner hadn't confirmed our stay and, therefore, they couldn't publish our review. They asked us for various documents proving we had been there, which we provided. Even so, they refused to publish our review. For an owner whose accommodation is in poor condition and who hasn't provided good service to their guests, it's very easy to prevent reviews from being published on Escapada Rural. The consequence is that other travelers looking for information about this accommodation won't have reliable information, only the reviews that have been approved by the owner. I think they would do well to change this policy to provide better customer service and give them more relevant information when booking accommodation. I hope they take steps to change this.
