This province of Lugo, which Camino pilgrims pass through without always stopping, deserves to have time devoted to it — a great deal of time. The Casa do Neto extends that invitation without hesitation.
The name already says everything: a family home, handed down, loved, carefully tended. A character cottage with exposed stone walls, it welcomes large groups with rare generosity — the sleeping arrangements are plentiful, the rooms bright and comfortable, and no one ever feels cramped. Those who have discovered it see it clearly: *"Great house and huge!!"*, as one of them put it, with the simple enthusiasm of someone who has nothing more to add.
Life here organizes itself between generous interior spaces — a fully equipped kitchen made for late-night feasts, large living areas where the group naturally gathers — and a well-kept exterior that catches the golden hours. The pool beckons in the afternoon, the terrace holds you until evening, and in the gardens, conversations flow like wine. In Galicia, the wine flows well. *"Genial. Relax total!"*: three words are sometimes enough.
The region adds its own depth. Local markets overflow with produce that tells the story of the land: pulpo a la feria, steaming empanadas, cheeses aged in the cellars nearby. Stone villages still sleep beneath their hórreos, those stilted granaries that have become the emblem of rural Galicia. And just a few kilometers away, the Roman walls of Lugo — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — remind you that this land is old, and proud of it. Some travelers return home wondering whether it is the most beautiful house they have ever lived in. They are not the first to ask themselves that question.
What guests of Casa do Neto take away with them is rarely what they expected. Not just photographs or market finds, but something more diffuse: the feeling of having truly inhabited a place, of having been at ease there, together. The best reason to come back.

Great house and huge!!
Genial. Relax total!
An ideal place to disconnect from the daily grind and connect with friends. We were a group of 37 people, and we rented all three houses, including the shared areas. Everything was fantastic. Each house is different, but overall they're all nice and have spacious living rooms and kitchens for gathering. In addition to each house, the shared games room is wonderful. We had enough space to use it as a dining room for everyone. It has a fireplace, pool table, ping-pong, foosball, a projector screen, a speaker, and even an indoor barbecue that turned out great! The owner left us plenty of firewood for the whole weekend and offered us more if we needed it. The gardens are very well maintained and have three swimming pools with sun loungers. There's also an area for playing football and pétanque. The stay was fantastic! The owner also resolved any minor issues we had immediately, and booking is super easy and doesn't require a deposit. We were incredibly comfortable, and there are no noise rules, so we could play music and dance until whenever we wanted. It's true that some things aren't in perfect condition, like the broken tiles on the common room floor, and some bedrooms and bathrooms could use a little maintenance, but overall, these minor details more than made up for it. They also provide shampoo and shower gel packets, napkins, and extra toilet paper—a real treat! There's plenty of kitchenware in all the houses, and we use it in the common room, which also has a dishwasher. The fact that practically every bedroom has its own bathroom, even if it's small, is a plus that makes living together much easier. Plus, there are some beautiful viewpoints near the house overlooking the Ribeira Sacra and the Miño River. The town of Chantada, with supermarkets and a bakery, is also very close. If you only book one of the houses, I'd recommend Casa do Neto; it's the largest and offers the most privacy in the garden and pool area. In short, I highly recommend this place.
100% recommended accommodation. A group of friends with children stayed in the large house with a pool. Spacious, comfortable, and with everything we needed for a perfect weekend. The owner was incredibly helpful. We especially appreciated being able to stay until the afternoon on our departure day. Thank you so much for everything, we'll be back!
