My family of two adults and three young kids (aged 7, 5, and 2) stayed here for a week in September, 2025. The grounds are amazing with great vistas of the surrounding hilltop towns and of Montepulciano. The rooms are large and recently renovated and were top notch; we stayed in one of the two-bedroom apartments. The beds were comfortable. There's lots of space for kids to run around and play. It was a bit too cold for swimming, but the pools would be amazing in the summer. The breakfasts and dinners here were very, very good. I would highly recommend ordering dinner here. The owners are very nice and accommodating, and plainly work very hard. We made friends with a number of the other guests as well. We hope to return someday!
The week that my family and I spent at La Bruciata was one of the highlights of our month in Italy. We arrived exhausted from our travels and were greeted warmly by Laura and her family. The location of the farm in the rolling hills outside of Montepulciano was perfect for relaxing in the countryside or touring some of the most interesting villages in Tuscany. The accommodations were attractive, comfortable and private. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The meals were truly delicious and fresh, and came from the gardens and orchards on the farm. We recommend La Bruciata to anyone traveling to Tuscany.
I would not recommend. I will not go back. My grandson and I spent the entire 2025 Summer in Italy from the USA. We stayed 3 weeks here. The pool is nice...but lots of bees...Be warned: Agriturismo La Bruciata; runs a dog kennel here; so if you like dogs barking 24/7. Basically this is "apartments" in the middle of a remote farm. You get no "Farm Experience" for the kids...YOU MUST HAVE A CAR. No cafes or stores close-by at all. (and no public buses; nor taxi's) .Too far to walk to town. (Rare train too) The breakfast is superb and the Welcome Dinner is nice. Wine is delicious! (On Sat night) Otherwise only other option for food is Thursday night (when they conduct their "Cooking Class". ..I want to address the "Cooking C;lass":I got screwed on the Cooking Class at "La Bruciata Agriturismo" in Montepulciano, Italy (Tuscany) What they did was 1) Do you want to take Cooking Class? Me: "Yes". (and I assumed that I get to eat the food that I help prepare...) Guess what? "Nope"...2) Turns out, past "renters" knew that the Resturant was only open for B'fast and on Sat nite and Thurs nite, only. So I sign up for Thursday night Cooking Class and I am exhaused from rolling pasta. I did not really learn how to make it (i.e. the ingrediants) and the meat (we cut up carrots)... and the desset we abserved was made in front of us...we did not participate. 3) After rolling pasta, we were shut out of kitchen while the pasta is cooking...4) All these "other renters" show up (to eat). They pay A LOT of money to eat this food. It was delicious. (However, I could not afford to invite my grandson to eat with us and he did not want to take the cooking class.) 5) I go to check out from Hotel on final day, (; after staying there for 3 weeks); and I am billed for "eating the food I prepared at the "cooking class". Basically they got FREE LABOR, from us and we paid for the class... AND I had to pay for what I helped to prepare...My advice: Ask questions; Read reviews...I was stupid. (Also the screen doors going out to the porch/balcony are flimsey. Mine broke, and it broke by itself. This is an on-going problem and she (Laura) warvilled for using the A/C. Location: remote; beautiful; and great (if you have a car) Very safe. Very quiet (except for the barking dogs)
