Naturaki Mas Garballer

Mas Garballer is a fully renovated traditional Catalan farmhouse set in the countryside of Vilanova de la Muga, at the gateway to the Empordà. Far from town centers, the property spreads across generous grounds that give groups the freedom to settle in without the constraints of close neighbors.

The rooms have been individually refurbished — well-equipped, spacious, with the character of traditional Catalan architecture preserved. The communal spaces are well suited to group stays: a fully equipped indoor kitchen and an outdoor kitchen allow meals to be organized without bottlenecks, with a large outdoor table already set up for al fresco dinners. The outdoor areas offer plenty of room to play, unwind, or simply breathe between group activities.

The mas works well for several types of stays: family weekends with children and dogs welcome, friends' birthday gatherings, small-group professional retreats or seminars, low-key countryside weddings. The separation between sleeping areas and the generous communal spaces allow a group to cohabit comfortably over several days without collective moments encroaching on private space.

Geographically, the property is well located: the Costa Brava and its beaches are accessible in under an hour, the French border is within reasonable distance, and the medieval villages of the Empordà are worth a day trip. The property is self-sufficient if the goal is to disconnect rather than sightsee.

A few things to note for off-season stays: some areas of the mas can be cool during shoulder season. With a 4.7/5 rating across 39 reviews, the property holds up well for groups looking for space, authenticity, and a stay that doesn't require improvising as you go.
