Gîtes du Mas St Laurent

Very nice place and owners.

A wonderful time with my wife and children. A welcoming, family-run gîte! The accommodation and the farmhouse are in an idyllic location! Georges gave us a warm welcome and answered all our questions during our stay.

We just spent four days at this cottage, and we had a wonderful time! First, a warm, family welcome put us at ease and made us feel like we were in a little cocoon. We didn't get to enjoy the lovely pool, but it looked great! The park has children's playground equipment, a trampoline, swings, and scooters; our three-year-old daughter had a great time. We felt a bit like home. The view of Valmy Castle is sublime. You can go there if you want to relax.

A rather unpleasant experience. The "garden" apartment we stayed in smelled extremely damp and musty, despite having aired it day and night. The accommodation wasn't clean, and everything seemed more or less abandoned. We left a day early and paid for our stay remotely, I should add... Nice but shabby children's play area. Very old furniture. Accommodating host but clearly not accepting criticism.

The "little house" accommodation we stayed in is somewhat secluded from the rest of the gîte and therefore very peaceful. The terrace, shaded by a magnificent wisteria, is perfect for al fresco dining. The living area is a good size, with a simple yet functional kitchen (the two refrigerators are ideal for larger groups). One drawback is the bedrooms: only one offers relative privacy, another is on a mezzanine overlooking a hallway. The third is an alcove closed off by a curtain, furnished with two single beds that can be pushed together and a cot. Finally, the last bedroom is on a mezzanine above the living area and has four single beds. The swimming pool is very pleasant, and the grounds, shaded by cork oaks, are very quiet.
