Ferme du Bois la Dame
About
Located in Festigny, in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, the Ferme du Bois la Dame is a cottage designed for large groups: 20 guests spread across 8 rooms, arranged around a sunny inner courtyard that anchors the entire property. The site includes two independent cottages as well as a spacious, light-filled reception room, regularly hired out for weddings and private events.
The amenities meet the demands of group stays: dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, outdoor barbecue, fireplace, and a selection of on-site games. The kitchen is equipped to prepare large-scale meals without requiring outside catering.
The architecture retains the characteristic proportions of a Burgundian farmhouse: stone walls, traditional rooflines, and expansive open courtyards. The grounds are regularly maintained, and the layout of the property lends itself equally to indoor dinners and outdoor gatherings. Florence and Pascal, the owners, are consistently available throughout guests' stays and provide direct, hands-on support on site.
A rating of 4.80/5 across 84 Google reviews reflects the consistency between what is advertised and what guests actually experience: reviewers highlight the quality of the amenities in both cottages, the brightness of the reception room, and the responsiveness of the owners. Sitting somewhere between a holiday home and a private event venue, the Ferme du Bois la Dame suits extended family gatherings and group celebrations alike in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

The Bois la Dame farm was a magical place to host our wedding. From the two perfectly equipped cottages and the magnificent sunny courtyard to the spacious and bright reception hall… everything was perfect. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. Our guests were captivated by the venue. We highly recommend it!
We were thrilled to have such a beautiful venue for our wedding. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its beauty. The owners were always ready to assist us with a smile. The cottage and reception hall are beautifully furnished and very well equipped, providing the perfect setting for our special day. We wholeheartedly recommend this estate to anyone looking for a magical location for their events.
We extend our warmest thanks to Florence and Pascal for the use of the Bois la Dame farm estate. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the setting is magnificent! We were able to use the hall from Thursday at noon to prepare for our event. Florence and Pascal are lovely, welcoming, and very helpful in answering questions and meeting our needs. The gîte (self-catering accommodation) is very well-equipped, spotless, and can accommodate around twenty people. We were able to use the hall until Monday morning, which was very convenient for tidying up the estate. A huge thank you for everything!
A magnificent venue! We had a beautiful wedding here, and our guests were captivated by its beauty. The owners are lovely! We highly recommend this venue to future brides and grooms. The cottage is very clean and spacious enough to accommodate some of the guests, and the garden adjoining the cottage is charming for a secular ceremony.
A magical place I've visited many times for weddings. The gîte offers several beautiful bedrooms, a magnificent courtyard with a covered area and a large hall! Everything is well-maintained, the owners are lovely, and I have only fond memories. Whether for a reception or to stay overnight, I recommend this place without hesitation :)
