A lovely location but disappointing house and amenities. It's marketed and priced as a very high end villa, but it really isn't. The layout is poor as the garden and pool are very separate and unlinked, and it lacks a pleasant outdoor area which is so critical for large group holidays. The 'loggia' in the marketing pictures had been converted into a closed off laundry area! Facilities were basic at best (beds for 20, but fridge space for 10, dishwasher for 4, and a rusty barbecue for 2!) and although there were hundreds of plates we lacked basic utensils (even a sharp knife). Bedrooms were dated - taps didn't work, bits of plaster crumbling from the ceilings, old aircon units with pipes out of windows, lack of power sockets etc. Pool was good, but poolside furniture needed updating/reparing. As mentioned the location was lovely, with walking proximity to Arezzo a real plus, but so much more could have been made of the views with a little investment. Some non-brochure photos attached to give an idea. Booked through Emmasvillas who weren't very responsive or helpful.
We met here for an engagement weekend for my sister. Beautiful views, wonderful accommodations, highly recommended.
A magical place, an atmosphere immersed in the Arezzo hills. The villa and pool are equipped with every comfort, the bedrooms are super quiet, with their own private bathrooms and all equipped with private air conditioning. Living rooms, nooks with antique furnishings, a pool table, an outdoor ping pong table, and olive and oak trees all around. Add to this a host who is attentive to every guest's needs, yet discreet and courteous. Stay at Villalta and treat yourself to unforgettable days!
