What a beautifully place for holidays with so much impressive history. We lived in the garden house and fully enjoyed it. Super nice and big pool for the kids, own tennis court and a great nature path for a morning run. The real Pizza Ofen heated with wood is a real experience for the whole family. And next to this absolutely outstanding place Family Lombardi is the best host you could imagine.
This will get 3 out of 5 stars. The house and property are simply great. Spacious and very well maintained. The hosts are great and will help with everything. Even arranging an ice cream truck to come by. The 4 downsides are: 1) check in is only as of 16:00. Meaning the day is lost. Check out is at 09:00. This means getting up very very early. You pay for two nights but don’t use either days. 2) some beds are hard as rock meaning some sleep better then others. 3) the rooms were rather warm - a fan should be part of the outfit. 4) there is a road which can be loud and noisy with a lot of traffic during some of the days.
Not the place to stay with children. Our baby felt a bit sick after a long trip and was crying from to time during the first night and morning. They asked us to leave....
The best experience we could have fir our honeymoon!!!
