Agriturismo Il Casolare di Bucciano

We had an incredible stay at Il Casolare di Bucciano! The location is breathtaking — surrounded by stunning countryside views, just minutes from San Gimignano. The hosts were so friendly, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. We also had the opportunity to enjoy dinner on-site, and it was a highlight — a delicious, homemade countryside meal that was plentiful and full of local flavour. We would absolutely come back and strongly recommend this place in every possible way!

We were on vacation for 7 nights, the location is great for daily trips to nearby towns. San Gimignano is also a short walk away. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, the surroundings are beautiful, the pool is clean. The hotel also offers 4-course Tuscan tasting dinners, which we took advantage of - they were cooked by the lovely housewives and really excellent. The only problem is that we are not used to eating 4 courses from 8 to 10 pm and also drinking, for people who are used to having less dinner it is extreme and the stomach is full even after midnight... they could definitely consider including one, two courses... and earlier, so we were forced to go eat elsewhere where they cook earlier. Breakfast was tasty, but monotonous, the same selection all around, too little fruit... only melon... this did not suit us. But the overall experience and environment, if anything, we really liked it and we were satisfied. The access road is manageable even for weak and low cars, you just have to go slowly. And don't follow Google navigation, that road is impassable. Go as the hotel guides you.

A beautiful location with wonderful views looking back on San Gimignano. Really friendly staff who were very accommodating. Four course evening meal was a real taste of Tuscan cooking - our favourite was the Ribollita! Gorgeous local wines also at reasonable prices per glass/bottle. Continental-style breakfast was well worth it and lovely to be taken outside in the lovely sunshine. Pool was unheated but refreshingly so for the middle of the day Summer heat! We were probably the only ones mad enough to stay there without a car/bike but we made it work with some good research and pre-booking taxis! Even managed to catch the bus (only running twice per day) from bus stop just beyond the end of the drive.
