Beautiful place where you can visit the only remaining water mill in the area. The visit is about 30 minutes and 2€ per person, you need to make a reservation, just calling to one of the phone numbers at the entrance. The owners themselves explain the mill's history, which has belonged to their family for decades. Today they still sale the bread made with the flour produced by the mill.
This weekend we had six couples staying in the two houses. One is very old, needs a coat of paint, has a lot of dampness, and is somewhat neglected. The furnishings are in good condition. The other is slightly better, but the sheets are extremely worn, almost see-through. It has two beds and a sofa bed, which is broken and only suitable for one person. Everything else was fine.
Unfortunately, there weren't enough people for the bread-making workshop (minimum 15 people and reservations required), but we did take the guided tour of the mill, which lasts about 30 minutes (reservations required). The service is personalized (just us, 2 adults and 3 children), and it was an enriching experience that captivated even the youngest members of our group. The place is very well-maintained and has a beautiful garden. I think it should be a must-see if you're in the area, even if you're not staying at their rural guesthouse.
A truly wonderful house, perfectly located with spectacular views in a very peaceful area. The house is a real luxury, fully equipped and with extremely comfortable beds that guarantee a restful sleep. Furthermore, Alberto was very kind and advised us on all the places we could visit, which greatly enhanced our stay. Without a doubt, an ideal place to disconnect and enjoy a few days with the family.
We had a perfect weekend. It's been a strange and unusual year because of the pandemic. We were running out of vacation options, but at the last minute this opportunity came up, and we didn't hesitate. Alberto made everything easy for us to rent the Molino de Abajo house, and it was a great choice. The house is perfect; it has everything you could need. The Wi-Fi works wonderfully, even in the patio, and the kitchen and bedrooms are well-equipped. The surroundings are very peaceful, right by the river. Thank you so much, Alberto; we'll be back!
