Mas dels Estellers

About
Inland in the Valencian Community, where orange groves give way to rosemary scrubland and centuries-old almond trees, Sant Jordi still keeps the slow pace of the Maestrat. It is in this landscape of dry stone and golden light that Mas dels Estellers stands as it always has — an authentic farmhouse whose name evokes the stars, plentiful here on moonless nights.
The mas welcomes large groups with an unforced generosity. Twenty people or more find their place in comfortable, well-appointed rooms, while the communal spaces have been designed so that everyone lives and eats together — a large living room where shared meals become experiences in their own right. Travelers who have gathered there in groups of 25 confirm that nothing is lacking, that the house has everything needed to feel truly at home.
The host sets the tone from the moment of arrival: the welcome is warm, attentive, in keeping with that Valencian culture that never separates hospitality from pride of place. You quickly feel as though you are on a family farm, surrounded by greenery and calm that invites you to disconnect. October nights, spring days — each season has its own way of revealing the quiet beauty of this backcountry.
Around the mas, the surrounding area rewards curiosity: the white-walled lanes of the village, the local markets, the paths that climb toward the ridges of the Maestrat. And on returning, the terrace, the light tilting toward evening, and that rural silence so rarely found in Europe anymore.
What groups take away from Mas dels Estellers is not simply the memory of a successful stay. It is the texture of a place that genuinely exists — a living farmhouse, a tangible terroir, and a few nights spent watching the stars whose name it carries.

We received a very warm welcome from our hostess in October 2025. We were only able to stay for two nights, but they were two peaceful nights in a very pleasant setting. We felt like we were in a traditional Provençal farmhouse, even though there's a door that opens directly onto the village. We hope to return.
We spent a weekend in a large group and the house is perfect for groups. The bedrooms are comfortable and there's a living room where we could all eat together. The only thing we missed was a small communal kitchen, so we wouldn't have to use the one in the bedrooms, which made things a little complicated for a group. But the stay was great. We'll definitely be back.
It was fabulous, we were a group of 25 and we had a great time, there was everything and it's very well equipped
We absolutely loved Mas dels Estellers. We were a large group (almost 40 people) and the accommodation has everything: the private aspect, with a separate room for each group equipped with bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, and even a living room; plus the group aspect, with space for shared meals, games, or simply relaxing outdoors. What's more, everything is brand new, beautifully decorated, and perfectly equipped (comfortable beds and sofas, and soft, cozy blankets, sheets, and towels). I would definitely return.
The house is fabulous; we rented the whole thing, but it's also great as individual apartments because each one is equipped with everything you need, and the common areas are very nice. The town is lovely for exploring and strolling around, and the beach is just 10 minutes away if you want a day out.
