Villemurlin is a commune in the Loiret department, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, close to the Orléans Forest — one of the largest state forests in France. The area lends itself to walks, cycling, or horse riding through unspoiled natural surroundings. History enthusiasts can explore the many châteaux and historic sites characteristic of the Loire Valley, a few dozen kilometres away. The town of Gien, known for its faience pottery and château, is within easy reach, as is Orléans for an urban day trip. The rural setting and low population density make it a fitting choice for groups seeking peace and space, away from the bustle of more heavily visited tourist destinations.
