What a pleasure to return to our gîte, "Les Amis de la Mer," after our hike on the magnificent GR34. With a sunny week and the warm welcome from Gaël and Annick, our week will remain etched in our memories. Thank you for also sharing some Breton stories and legends with us. Everything is impeccable, functional, and welcoming in this gîte, with a special mention for the decor. Ideally located for hiking, shellfish gathering, boat trips, or birdwatching at Pointe de Pen Hir, it's impossible to be bored. Thank you, Brittany, thank you, Annick, thank you, Gaël. In this former slaughterhouse, beautifully transformed into a very functional group accommodation, our old "flock" (18 retired hikers) stayed for about eight days—too short—at the beginning of September 2024. Annick and Gael gave us a warm welcome and were always available. The accommodation is ideally located for hiking on the coastal paths of the peninsula and for fishing on Gael's traditional sailing boat. A wonderful place to stay, highly recommended for lovers of the sea...and hiking.
What can I say... this place is absolutely sublime. It has everything you could need. The cottage is beautiful and very functional, the owners Gael and Annick are charming and offer excellent advice, and the sailing trip with Gael was fantastic, as was the walk along the coastal path. Thank you to Annick and Gaël for this splendid stay and wonderful experience. The gîte is ideally located in a nature reserve, just steps from the beach and Pointe de Penn-Hir. Gaël organizes boat trips, guided hikes, fishing excursions, and more… the gîte is incredibly functional and welcoming. Fantastic!
