Le Mas d'Eylieux

About
Between the Ardèche garrigue and the first hills that herald Provence, Saint-Montan watches over the Rhône valley from atop its medieval alleyways. It is in this fold of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, where the mistral scents the air with lavender and wild thyme, that the Mas d'Eylieux nestles — a characterful bastide that seems to have always belonged to the landscape.
From the moment of arrival, it is Pascale who welcomes groups with the warmth attributed to people from the South of France: sincere, generous, no fuss. Her property reveals itself gradually — the golden stone, the blue shutters, the cicadas as a backdrop, and that pool that beckons without delay. For twenty-five people, the mas spreads its eight rooms with a quiet generosity: each space is carefully tended, clean, imbued with a soul that makes you feel at home from the very first evening. Shared meals are made easier by a dishwasher and a kitchen designed for large gatherings; the washing machine allows you to leave on Sunday with light luggage. Wi-Fi takes care of the rest for those who cannot do without it.
The days organize themselves naturally around the pool, between swims and naps in the shade of the plane trees. But the mas is also an ideal base: the Ardèche gorges by bike, the markets of Bourg-Saint-Andéol, a local producer's cellar where the neighbor's wine — that of Pascale's husband, so regulars say — is well worth the detour.
In the evening, when the light turns orange and the scents of garrigue intensify, conversations stretch out around the table. It is that moment that groups take with them: not a checklist of ticked-off activities, but the rare feeling of having lived a few days at the right pace — that of a place that never tried to impress, and that, for precisely that reason, is not forgotten.

Fantastic one-night father-daughter stay at Mas D'Eylieux. A very warm welcome to this magnificent estate. The pool and apartment were lovely. We have nothing to complain about except that we wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you :)
A magnificent, peaceful, and rejuvenating place surrounded by nature. The cottage is well-maintained and clean; it's a place where you simply feel at home! Pascale is a lovely person and her welcome was unforgettable. It was hard to leave! Don't hesitate!
A magnificent place. Calm, green, and rich in color and fragrance. It has everything for a pleasant time with family or friends. Pascale is very friendly, as is her husband, whose wine is excellent. I highly recommend this place. Dominique at Nathalie's 60th birthday celebration.
A magnificent weekend at this estate where I celebrated my 60th birthday with family and friends. The setting is exceptional; the greenery, the tranquility, and the beauty of the grounds all contributed to these relaxing moments. A special mention for the warm welcome and helpfulness of Pascale, the owner. Don't hesitate, come and discover this exceptional estate. I highly recommend it. Nathalie.
