Le Chalet du Pêcheur

The Fisherman's Cottage is a cottage located in Beauchamps, a rural village in Normandy, close to the Channel coastline and the hedgerow-lined bocage countryside characteristic of the region. The property sleeps up to 20 people and has 8 bedrooms, making it a suitable address for large family gatherings or groups of friends.

The interior is centred around a working fireplace that serves as the heart of the living space, particularly welcome on cool Norman evenings. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, which makes managing meals for a large table considerably easier. A washing machine is also available on site, a real asset for longer stays.

Wi-Fi covers the entire property. Outside, a barbecue allows guests to make full use of the outdoor space for meals during the warmer months.

Beauchamps sits within the agricultural and bocage landscape typical of the Cotentin peninsula, among enclosed fields and sunken lanes. The D-Day landing beaches are reachable by car, as are the towns of Cherbourg and Coutances. The village itself offers the tranquillity of an unspoilt rural setting, far from the overcrowded tourist areas along the coast.

The Fisherman's Cottage suits a long weekend as well as a full week, with enough sleeping capacity to keep the whole group together under one roof rather than spread across several separate rentals. The combination of a fireplace, barbecue and outdoor space makes it a versatile choice whatever the season.
