L'Atelier des Nymphéas

The five bedrooms unfold throughout the house like so many breathing spaces — some bathed in morning light, others facing the garden and its aquatic reflections.

Large group stays demand flawless logistics, and L'Atelier meets this need discreetly: the washing machine takes care of hiking gear, the dishwasher closes out long evenings around the big table, the air conditioning tempers sweltering afternoons, and Wi-Fi remains available for those who cannot do without it — even here, even on holiday. But one quickly learns to resist it: the surroundings invite other forms of attention.

By bike or on foot, the Chemin de la Mémoire Vendéenne winds between villages and chapels, revealing a region marked by a powerful history and a preserved landscape identity. The Chantonnay market, the Fiefs Vendéens vineyards accessible within a few kilometres, the beaches of Les Sables-d'Olonne less than an hour away — all of this makes up a generous geography, suited to spontaneous outings as much as to days of blissful idleness.

What guests take away when leaving L'Atelier des Nymphéas is not only the tan from the terraces or the gentle tiredness of long shared meals.
