We just had a wonderful stay at Villa Blanche for the third year in a row. The house was full and remained comfortable even in the rain. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. New additions every year improve the villa: an extra bedroom and shower, a renovated shower with a lovely vintage lock (which I really like :)). A kitchen with everything you need for 14 people! The villa is also ideally located for cultural activities (Murol School of Painters Museum) and nature (the Valley of the Glaciers), etc. Mr. and Mrs. Pancracio are very responsive to messages and attentive to our needs: thank you so much! I recommend this villa without hesitation! Excellent value for money.

I had decided not to pursue the matter if the owner replied. However, faced with such stubbornness, I cannot remain silent. Three months ago, he claimed he had received €884 from Abritel (we paid Abritel €1,040 excluding tourist tax and linen and towel rental). He now claims he only received €797! If he replies to this letter, we will certainly be down to €650 or even less (sic!!!). In response to my polite comment about the condition of one of the sofas, he dares to say that he likes it! Dear Sir, your sofa is so uncomfortable and old it's practically unusable. And what about the dampness on the walls of the first-floor bathroom? And what about the fact that the door to the first-floor shower room (which also has a toilet) can only be closed (the handle is broken) by locking it with a bolt that looks like it's from the time of the Antichrist? I was surprised to learn that he apparently suggested to the person who made this reservation (my cousin) that they book directly with him to avoid Abritel's commission. Abritel will be thrilled to hear that. Therefore, I'm no longer giving it 3 stars, but a single star out of 5. Okay, but… Excellent location opposite the castle. The kitchen was well-equipped, but some details needed addressing (one of the stove knobs was missing, the oven indicator lights were faded, a Dolce Gusto-type coffee machine would have been appreciated for the price, and there was only a single-lever mixer tap in the shower room instead of a standard mixer tap). Furthermore, it was colder inside the house than outside. The central heating was off, so there was no towel warmer. The sofas in the living room should be replaced (they're worn out). The bedding was adequate, but the beds in the upstairs bedroom were outdated, with spring mattresses that dug into your ribs. I'm amused to read the owner's comments, who clearly doesn't want to acknowledge the property's shortcomings (minor flaws, admittedly, but definitely there). Without markings, how are you supposed to adjust the oven? Plus, there are only 5 burners and 4 knobs (the fact that you couldn't replace them isn't my fault). We paid not €884 but €1014 (excluding linen rental and cleaning). I encourage him to spend a night in the upstairs bedroom. I confirm that the sofa and armchairs to the left of the living room entrance need replacing as they are too old and worn. Investing in another bedroom is indeed a good idea, but it doesn't address the minor flaws I've observed. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay, and my comments are intended to be constructive. Why not simply acknowledge the facts? I will not respond to this review if there is a reply, as the initial response was not entirely accurate.
