The cottage is very well located in the heart of the village of Saillans. !! Warning: impossible to access by car!! The cottage is spacious, but it's an old house and the furniture reflects that... so not everything is in perfect condition. Be aware that the owner is rather strict, so make sure you've checked everything thoroughly and do a check-in inventory, or even take photos. We had water damage to the downstairs toilet, which was leaking, and two worn chairs that we set aside to preserve... as a result, we had to pay €100 in fees! We also opted for the cleaning package, but we were scolded because the terrace was a bit dirty (mud in winter, which can happen) and some furniture had been moved (cleaning up the water damage...). In short, despite a very pleasant stay, the relationship with the owner wasn't the most agreeable, so be warned! Enjoy your stay in Saillans; the area is great for mountain biking!
The cottage is in the center of Saillans, but it's a true haven of peace with its large enclosed garden. It has all the comforts you could need. We had a wonderful weekend there.
