Ferme du Ruisselet

About
In the heart of the Cantal, where volcanic plateaus stretch as far as the eye can see and the air still carries the scent of cut hay and ancient stone, the Ferme du Ruisselet stands as a landmark. Roffiac, a quiet village nestled between Saint-Flour and the Truyère gorges, belongs to that deep Auvergne which only reveals itself to those who take the time to stop.
The farm accommodates up to 18 people across 6 rooms, and it quickly becomes clear why groups return: space is never in short supply here. The thick walls keep things cool in summer, the exposed beams speak of generations of rural life, and the property breathes an authenticity that cannot be manufactured. The neighboring goats sometimes wander through the adjacent field — a presence that makes children smile and disarms even the most skeptical adults.
Evenings naturally gather around the barbecue when the sun lingers over the heights, or in the hot tub as night falls and the stars of the Cantal — shielded from light pollution — become a spectacle in their own right. Inside, the dishwasher and washing machine make longer stays easier, the wifi keeps a connection to the outside world for those who cannot do without, and the games available on-site handle rainy afternoons with remarkable efficiency.
The surrounding area lends itself to cycling along near-deserted roads, winding through gorges or past the abandoned burons that dot the landscape. And if the effort works up an appetite, the home-cooked meals served on-site — brought to the table with the warmth their 236 guests consistently describe, earning a rating of 4.7 out of 5 — settle the matter generously.
What groups take away from the Ferme du Ruisselet is rarely what they anticipated. Not just the comfort or the setting, but something more enduring: the smell of morning over the pastures, the memory of a meal shared without hurrying, the certainty that there are still places where time follows different rules.

Lovely, friendly place. Home made family meals delivered with a smile. I loved the goats and their dog. Loved the area touring with our bikes. Will return asap.
Ok
Super
We were just passing through and received a very warm welcome at the last minute, late in the day, for the night. The location, under the trees, was perfect, and as a bonus, we saw some cows returning to the maple grove... The clean, if slightly dated, restrooms added to the charm of our stay. Very friendly, I absolutely recommend it!
I stayed at La Ferme du Ruissellelet during a motorcycle road trip. Florence (the host) is lovely. The evening meal and breakfast are excellent and made with local products. A place I would recommend without hesitation!
