We rented Antico Fio for our 50th wedding anniversary celebration. There are not adequate words to describe our experience and the absolute beauty of the property. Sara and her mother Simonetta were delightful, caring hosts who felt like family by the end of the week. Our only problem was having to leave this stunning place.
Not sure where to start, but on the day of arrival (after not been in Italy for 7 years) it felt like home. A small piece of paradise in the hills around Poppi in the Casentino Valley, this place has great views, very kind and helpful personnel and a great pool. I understand why the owners are proud of this place. Our children are still talking about this place as their favorite Holiday stay to-date. The wine tasting created great friendships with the other guests and we enjoyed the wines of course (Castellino!). We will definitely come back to this magical place
We stayed at Antico fio, with exclusive hire over 3 nights to celebrate our wedding early September. Incredible experience and I can not thank the members of staff enough for how accommodating they are. We have made memories with our friends and family that will last a life time! The venue put on a pre wedding pizza party and wine tasting the day after the wedding to keep our guests entertained and we enjoyed our daytimes relaxing together by the pool. Thank you so much and we look forwards to returning in the future.
I’ve stayed in Poppi 15 times and this is my favorite…a delightful, helpful and attentive staff in a gorgeous facility, beautiful views, classic architecture, modern amenities in a faithfully preserved style.
