Corte San Mattia

About
Nestled in the hills overlooking Verona, Corte San Mattia is an agritourism farmstay set at the heart of a wine estate, surrounded by terraced vineyards and the rolling landscapes characteristic of the Veneto countryside.
The property offers several self-contained apartments, some of which provide generous living spaces suited to family or group stays. The accommodations are spacious and functional, with ample common areas that comfortably accommodate larger parties. The immediate surroundings — quiet and lush — reinforce the sense of privacy typical of this kind of rural property.
The estate features an on-site restaurant, consistently praised by guests for the quality of its cuisine and its panoramic view over Verona. This is one of the highlights of a stay here: dining while watching the city light up below is an experience in its own right. The apartments, while comfortable, reflect an understated rural aesthetic; some guests note that the furnishings and décor could benefit from an update. The property holds a Google rating of 4.5/5 across more than 1,500 reviews, reflecting a solid and sustained level of overall guest satisfaction.
Corte San Mattia sits at the gateway to Verona, one of the most visited cities in northern Italy, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historic center and Roman amphitheater. The region also offers easy access to the Valpolicella and Valpantena wine routes, as well as the shores of Lake Garda, roughly thirty kilometers away. For groups looking to combine countryside relaxation, local gastronomy, and cultural exploration, this estate makes for a coherent and well-positioned base.

Cannot say anything about the hotel, but the restaurant experience was wonderful. If you want to have dinner with a wonderful view of Verona, don't hesitate to book. The food was excellent. Also, there is an opportunity to try wines from their winery. Highly recommend!
Family of 4.Stayed at Lavender apartment. The apartment needs to be updated. It is big and spacious but lacks style and furniture is really old. The matress in the room is very good, the one in the living room not as much. The bathroom is the best in the whole apartment but a sewer drain smell arises when shower is used. Coffee capsules offered. The aparment is very clean. The nicest thing in this app is the view over Verona🤩, that really is amazing! The surrounding is beautiful-green, there is a pool, you can relax outside, have a cup of coffee, read a book or just soak the sun and view over Verona. The breakfast is rich and tasty, a lot of products are home made, sweet and savory food available. Really, really good. We had two dinners as well - everything was delicious, really really good food. Valpolicella Superiore - beautiful wine. I would visit Corte San Mattia again but not this appartment.
This resort is truly a little paradise! Surrounded by beautiful vineyards and rolling hills, it offers a breathtaking view over Verona that makes the whole experience even more magical. The rooms were cozy, spacious, and spotlessly clean — everything was thoughtfully prepared to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, featuring high-quality local products produced right on the property. You can really taste the freshness and authenticity in every dish. I also highly recommend the wine tasting experience — the wines produced at the resort are exceptional and perfectly reflect the character of the region. We had an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to come back! 🍷✨
Without a doubt, this place offers the best views in Verona—absolutely scenic and incredibly romantic. Unlike many spots in the city, the prices are very reasonable across the board, especially for such a high-quality experience. The staff were awesome and provided top-tier service. The wine experience was a highlight of our trip. If you want a magical evening without the 'tourist trap' prices, this is it! 🥂😎
