My wife and I arrived today. Although we had seen the photos online, we really like the location and the house. It has all the amenities, appliances, etc. Lorena's mother brought us the key and showed us around the house. We're very happy here. Thank you to Lorena and her mother, Paz, for everything.
We spent a few days there as a family. The house is exceptional and has everything you could possibly need. The owner is also lovely. The only downside is its location: it's very inland, in a typical northern village, where there isn't even a shop to buy anything you might need. And you're completely dependent on the car. It takes about half an hour to get to the beach. This is the only drawback we found with this accommodation, and we think it's something to keep in mind.
A truly delightful stay at Los Avellanos country house! The three cottages, each accommodating 4-6 people, offer a charming and welcoming atmosphere in Celis, Cantabria. The owners are lovely and always willing to help and offer local recommendations. Highly recommended for a peaceful and relaxing getaway in nature.
Very good. We stayed in number 1. Large living room/kitchen on the ground floor. Two spacious bedrooms and a toilet on the first floor. Outside there's a garden, barbecue, children's play area, mini-golf... and parking. Firewood is available for the fireplace. There are two good restaurants in the village, but we didn't find out if there's a bakery or supermarket (we don't think so). In any case, Puentenansa, which has all the necessary amenities, is 4 kilometers away. The location is good, 20 minutes from the coast, but not too far inland. Good roads to get there. If I had to find a fault, perhaps the hot water tank is a bit small.
We were a large group of families with children. There are three houses with all the amenities you need, the location is excellent, and most importantly, the owners, Lorena and Germán, are incredibly helpful. We will definitely be back. Many thanks to our hosts!
