100% Recommended. A house with attention to every detail, all rooms have en-suite bathrooms, an amazing barbecue, and it's very comfortable. The owner provides breakfast and takes care of every detail. Don't hesitate to rent it.
Our go-to accommodation year after year during our stay at Sonorama Ribera del Duero, the best festival in the world. Newly built, this completely renovated house has 7 bedrooms: 4 double rooms, 1 twin room, and 2 triple rooms, each with a private bathroom. Some are upstairs and others downstairs, which is the main entrance. The accommodation is located in the town of Hontoria de Valdearados, in the province of Burgos, in the Ribera del Duero wine region. The address is Calle San Andrés. Parking is easy and directly in front of the house, on the same street, or on adjacent streets. It's a very quiet town. Right across the street, you'll find a bakery and a church. The house has a microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, television, barbecue, an accessible toilet downstairs, cribs if you're traveling with children, a toaster, cutlery, large tables and plenty of chairs... in short, it's very well-equipped and has everything you could possibly need. It also has internet access; you have Wi-Fi, as there's no cell phone coverage, which is the only downside. In the courtyard, there's a sort of museum dedicated to Miguel Indurain, the Navarrese cyclist who won five Tours de France. There are countless photos of the cyclist, making the outdoor courtyard a truly unique space. You can, for example, have a comfortable breakfast at a large table while listening to the birds chirping. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy hunting, fishing, and hiking, among other activities. Without a doubt, highly recommended, whether for Sonorama or for spending a few days with a group of friends enjoying the wonderful local cuisine and fine wines.
The house is fantastic, everything is brand new and well-maintained, no detail was overlooked. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, there's a huge living room with two dining tables and plenty of space for everyone to be together (we were 11 adults and 2 children), and a patio with a very large table and grills for barbecuing, as well as a large paella pan with a burner and gas cylinder. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back, thank you so much!
The house is great!! An ideal place for families with children. The house is large, new (as shown in the photos), and fully equipped with an amazing barbecue that allows you to enjoy the house with family and friends. The town is quiet, but with the possibility of planning excursions and visits in the area. We will return!!!
Exceptional country house. Upon entering, the spacious living/dining/kitchen area is impressive, both in its size and its decor and functionality. The living room features a large sofa, the dining room has two large tables, and the kitchen is equipped with all kinds of utensils. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and the beds are very comfortable, which is much appreciated. The outdoor patio with its large barbecue is perfect for al fresco dining. The owner's friendliness is outstanding; she is always attentive to our needs. The surrounding area is beautiful and nearby. We visited Aranda de Duero, Lerma, Covarrubias, Santo Domingo de la Calzada, Burgos, Peñaranda de Duero, and of course, Hontoria with its lovely church. In short, a top-notch country house, highly recommended for groups (we were 13 people). The day we arrived, we ordered their traditional roast, which was delicious. The value for money is fantastic.
