We really enjoyed Latxeberria this August. We were a large group with lots of children and had plenty of space. The house is equipped with everything you need. The only downside is that there was a large and annoying mosquito infestation. The first few nights were very uncomfortable because of this, and the last few nights were unbearably hot because the windows didn't have mosquito nets and we were in the middle of a heat wave. I think this could be avoided if they installed mosquito nets in all the bedrooms.
The house is fantastic, very spacious, and spotless. The kitchen and living rooms on the ground floor are very roomy. The games room is great fun. It's very well located and easily accessible. I highly recommend this house to any family or group of friends who want to visit or spend a few days in the Baztan Valley.
The house was very nice, in a beautiful location, and spacious. However, some of the mattresses were very uncomfortable and sagged. The owner was the downside; she wasn't helpful with some of our requests and tried to charge us an extra €100 for checking in an hour early, which we thought was excessive, or for checking out six hours early on Sunday. That's why I lowered the rating slightly.
Spectacular house. We were a group of 15, children and adults. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms spacious—everything was perfect for a weekend getaway. The kids loved the playroom, which they turned into their own little corner of the world. We'll definitely be back.
The house is great for large groups, the location is excellent, and it has everything you could need, but it's true that it really needs a facelift. Almost all the games are broken, some showers are so crowded you can't even leave the showerhead in, and the sheets look like they've been washed a thousand times—they're very worn. The worst thing is that the floor on the second floor is incredibly noisy. It's impossible to get up at night to use the bathroom without the rest of the house hearing it. So, a little bit of a facelift and a fresh coat of paint and it would be perfect.
