We had a wonderful weekend at La Casa la Ciega. Ten of us friends got together, something we try to do once a year since we live in different parts of Spain. The house is spacious yet cozy, with every detail carefully considered, which the owners have clearly added over time, creating a lovely atmosphere. During our stay, we also took a trip, visiting the German Cemetery, where a local told us an interesting story, the Monastery of Yuste with its beautiful autumn colors, and the village of Garganta de la Olla. We'd like to thank Chon for her excellent communication and hospitality, and Celia for showing us around the house when we arrived.
The house is ideal for groups, with plenty of opportunities in the surrounding area for outdoor activities, nature, and even cultural visits. We loved it, and the photos don't do justice to how beautiful we found the house, inside and out. Special mention goes to Celia and Ascensión: their service was exquisite. They helped and guided us with everything we asked for, with unexpected touches that certainly brightened our stay. We will recommend it and will definitely return; this review is more than deserved. Hugs and many thanks.
A WONDERFUL and enormous house; the photos don't do it justice. Radiant walls in every room, including the bathrooms, provide fantastic comfort, not to mention the fireplace with the best draft I've ever seen. After four days, my clothes didn't smell of smoke. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, and the generous breakfast and the hosts' kindness were much appreciated. The setting is like something out of a Christmas fairytale.
I loved the house for its spaciousness, comfort, and the tranquility that surrounds it. They were attentive and available for anything we needed, and they also recommended places to visit in the surrounding area, such as the various gorges and natural pools, which were fantastic. The place is perfect for relaxing and disconnecting for a few days from the monotony and stress. I loved it; I wish I could have stayed longer. Thank you for your hospitality.
We felt incredibly comfortable in the house, as it's very well-equipped and the surroundings are beautiful. We were able to enjoy our dinners and after-dinner conversations outdoors, go for walks watching birds, go for runs along lovely country paths, and visit the horses grazing in the meadow with the children. Chon and Celia were very attentive to everything we needed. It served as a great base for discovering or revisiting some wonderful gorges where the whole family could swim.
