We arrived at La Baita Di Eleonora at the middle of October 2025. First of all - the place is located in a beautiful valley, small towns dot the mountain view. There are several housing types, small, triangle shaped wooden cabins, with a comfy bed and warm interior - these fit for a one person or a couple - but not so much for older people, as the toilet and showers are in a small building outside of them. This takes us to the houses, there are other rooms fitting for families and older guests with a comfortable bathroom and sizeable bedroom with everything you'll need. The owners - The hosts, Claudio and Nadia, are both so, so sweet and very welcoming. And their dog is also very cute and friendly. They are very open to questions and requests, and will always sit down to talk with you or the other guests if you want. Lovely people. And the food! The dinners were incredible, homemade, Claudio is an amazing cook! It was very nice sitting with the other guests and getting to know them, everyone was very friendly and it was not crowded at all. Be warned though! If you come over with a larger vehicle you will have a 200m walk down from the parking area. Arriving with a small vehicle is recommended so you could pass through the narrow road leading down to the valley. We arrived with a larger car, but we do not regret it at all, the walk was worth it, even with the heavy bags (Not to mention Nadia offered to take us up to the car, but we had to decline, we did not want to be a burden). If you are in the area you should definitely stop by, even for a night or two!

The place is in the mountainous area above the lake, ca 10 minutes car ride. The place is a little green oasis. Home made meals are available on request and are delicious specializing in local cuisine and children friendly meals. All in all a very nice experience, the only thing for me is that it’s too remote from the lake.

Lovely house in beautiful setting, about a half hour walk from the lake. Nadia and Claudio are perfect hosts, who gave us useful advice on hikes and sites in the neighborhood, and, to our pleasant surprise, aperitivo with great fingerfood like fish they caught themselves. The place is VERY clean and has all the amenities (not a full kitchen but a microwave, water cooker, toasting device etc). Recommended!
