Agriturismo Ferdy

About
Nestled in the heights of the province of Bergamo in Lombardy, Agriturismo Ferdy is a characterful farmstay that combines an unspoiled mountain setting with genuine hospitality, recognised by nearly 1,900 Google reviews for an average rating of 4.4 out of 5.
The property is a working farm, which lends it a lively and distinctive atmosphere: ponies, dogs and farm animals roam freely across the grounds, contributing to the bucolic and relaxed ambiance that recurs throughout visitors' accounts. The indoor and outdoor spaces are organised around this agricultural holding, offering a setting well suited to group stays seeking a break from the urban environment. Exact accommodation capacity should be confirmed directly with the property according to the desired configuration.
In terms of facilities, Agriturismo Ferdy has a restaurant serving quality traditional cuisine, including a tasting menu that has left a lasting impression on many guests for its generosity and its grounding in local flavours. Breakfast is also served on site. The property is managed with care — pre-arrival communications, notably by email, are described as responsive and professional. The property has also been featured in a series broadcast on Apple TV, which speaks to its reach beyond regional tourism.
The province of Bergamo is an ideal base for groups in search of nature and culture. The Bergamo Alps offer numerous opportunities for hiking, exploring hilltop villages and mountain lakes. The city of Bergamo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its Città Alta, is within easy reach and makes it possible to combine a rural stay with cultural visits. The region is also renowned for its gastronomic produce — cheeses, cured meats, wines from the Valcalepio — all of which naturally find their way onto the agriturismo's table.

Staying at Agriturismo Ferdy Wild was a genuinely enchanting experience from start to finish. The mountain setting is beautiful and peaceful, but what truly sets this place apart is the atmosphere created by the family who run the agriturismo. Their commitment to sustainability, regenerative tourism and wild dining is evident in every detail — it is no surprise that Ferdy Wild has been awarded the prestigious Michelin Green Star. We had the pleasure of meeting Cinzia, Nicolò and Alice, members of the family behind the agriturismo, who were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Alice guided us thoughtfully through our dining experience, while Nicolò shared insights about the food and wine that deepened our appreciation of each course. The cuisine was phenomenal. Every course felt intentional and deeply connected to the farm and surrounding landscape. The cheeses were exceptional, especially the goat’s cheese, which was outstanding. We would also like to acknowledge the wider restaurant team, whose professionalism, attentiveness and warmth made the entire dining experience seamless and memorable. Our room was warm, comfortable and gemütlich in the best sense. Being able to visit the working farm added something very special. Seeing the newborn calves and goats was enchanting, and my husband particularly enjoyed the experience of milking the cows. A memorable and hands-on connection to daily farm life. The staff were consistently welcoming, and it is genuinely dog-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. There is so much to love about this place. It combines integrity, sustainability, extraordinary food and heartfelt hospitality in a way that feels both rare and completely genuine. We left feeling relaxed, well-fed and already wanting to return.
What an experience! We watched Apple TV series that showcased Agriturismo Ferdy and booked immediately for a birthday celebration. From booking, communication with Cinzia via email, food dinner and breakfast, relaxing at the baita, walking seeing the animals to spending foraging and cooking with Ferdy was fantastic! The family are incredible and their team equally as amazing! We felt welcomed by the family and team which was amazing. We felt welcomed and at home. We totally admire what they do. We stayed three nights. Perfect amount of time. The room was very comfortable, excellent linen, fantastic air conditioning. Warm powerful shower. Beautifully decorated room. We enjoyed the outside seating allowing us to totally relax and soak up the atmosphere and nature. The dining experience was brilliant. We had fantastic wine recommendations by the sommelier. Tried wines we would not normally have. Was delightful and reasonably priced. We had dinner two evenings. One à la carte and second evening a 8 course tasting menu. Food was delicious. Strong emphasis on local seasonal produce. With stay came breakfast also a highlight. Choice from cooked eggs to a selection of pastries, juices, yoghurt, fruit and cereals. All elegantly prepared and served. We even had a behind the scenes viewing of the kitchen which was insightful. There’s a shop where you can stock up on cheese, salami, wine and their own cosmetics. The setting of Ferdy Wild is incredible. Parking across the river easy to locate and then it’s a short walk over the bridge to the Agriturismo itself. They did offer luggage collection but we did not need it. We spend Saturday with Ferdy and his dog, foraging and cooking in the mountains. It was an incredible experience. Understanding his philosophy how it began and what he see for the future. How he is working hard on not letting the village disappear as the people sell up and move to the big cities. The experience was fantastic. They are totally family friendly. For people who do lot have children it was not overbearing as there is so much space. Also rooms totally sound proof and even people with small baby in room next to us did could not be heard. Highly recommended and can’t wait to visit again.
My family and I had the traditional tasting menu and it was totally amazing! The location is lovely, with ponies and dogs wandering around, a working farm and a lovely restaurant. The service was attentive and fast and the food was great. Highlights include the cheese with dandelion syrup, the pasta and the dessert. Yum!
I planned a girl's weekend getaway and we spent 1 night at Ferdy Wilde. Great place to spend the night (or more) after a relaxing day at San Pellegrino Terme, located 15 minutes south. My friends and I loved our stay - Beautiful views filled with mountains, green pastures, farm animals, and fresh air. Truly farm to table. Looking forward to returning.
Pros: Beautiful surroundings, well-kept grounds, and many animals. Cons: People visit a Michelin-starred restaurant for fine cuisine and a memorable experience — unfortunately, we found neither. Prices are high, yet the quality falls short, especially compared to nearby alternatives offering fresh, seasonal homemade food. Even a simple tea at the bar was refused, reserved “only for hotel guests,” which felt unnecessarily snobbish and unwelcoming. Overall: A lovely location, but the food, service, and atmosphere did not meet expectations. Not recommended.
