We stayed at Maria's for 2 nights in September 2023. The farm is lovely, the room is much better than in the pictures, and the location is beautiful. Maria is a great cook and serves food from her farm. Highly recommended. Her husband was also very nice. Do note that the pool closes after September 15.
A really beautiful, welcoming place. We stayed for three nights but wish it could have been longer. Highlights included the amazing food that Maria prepared for breakfast and dinner, meeting the puppies that Maria and Gaetano breed for truffle hunting, and Maria's endless patience with our beginner Italian.
Pulling into this driveway after a 14-hour travel day and 2 hours driving from Rome, at 11 pm, was like finding an oasis when I heard a friendly voice welcome me. We were exhausted, and clean, simple rooms are perfect, and every breakfast and dinner has been excellent. You are free to wander the farm and unwind, admiring sheep, olive trees, vegetable gardens, and the scenery, but you can also drive to the medieval towns of Spoleto, Orvieto, or Assisi, or hike in some parks nearby. This is the rest we needed after some hectic sightseeing!
