We spent a weekend away at La Picotina. Two couples with a child and a small dog. The house is very well-equipped and spotlessly clean, with attention to every detail. Great views and a fantastic location. The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help if we needed anything. Comfortable beds and well-equipped rooms. Highly recommended for a very pleasant rural getaway. We will definitely return. We were very satisfied with everything.

My husband and I stayed with our three dogs for a week at La Picotina, and the house was perfect for everyone—very well-equipped, with an outdoor area, and situated in a beautiful setting. Juan Ángel was always available and very kind.

We stayed at La Picotina for a week, and unfortunately, my review is only two stars. It's not because of the house itself, as it's beautiful, spacious, with very comfortable rooms and a lovely outdoor area. The pool has very cold water, which is appreciated, and there's a very inviting porch for breakfast or dinner. However, all of this is overshadowed by the lack of attention to detail, which was quite noticeable to us. The first impression upon arrival and seeing the outdoor area was one of neglect. The trees and plants were poorly maintained, neglected, and lacking in care and taste. The pool area had half-blackened sun loungers, rusty tables, mattresses lying around, a broken parasol on the ground, and bar stools on the terrace with a sofa that left much to be desired—uncomfortable. Inside the house, which was what we disliked most, the hygiene was poor. The sofas were dirty and had a truly unpleasant animal smell. I find it very unhygienic that an accommodation doesn't consider something as vital as this. He sweats, he brings pets... and putting out covers that he washes every time guests leave seems like the norm; dirty pans left unwashed, burnt and dirty kitchen utensils, a dirty microwave... And on the other hand, so that others may be aware, this gentleman enters the house at 12 noon and well, if you're in the pool naked or doing whatever you want, which is what you pay for privacy and accommodation, well, ta-da, hello... It's one thing for him to tell you that some days he'll come by at 8 am, so as not to disturb you and to put the pool cover on... and another thing entirely. If you're looking for a place to relax, and you happen to have guests from the neighboring house right next door, it could mean not sleeping until 3 a.m. on a Friday because the neighbors are in the mood to party. I think that should be standardized too—no disturbing others after a certain hour, like some other establishments do—so that the peace and quiet of some doesn't bother others. It's a shame that such a beautiful, comfortable, and enjoyable place isn't cared for and maintained as it should be.

We spent a wonderful weekend there with four people and our dog. The house is fantastic, located on a private, fully enclosed and independent property. It has all the necessary amenities, was clean and new, and also has a private pool. We didn't use it because we weren't there during the summer, but it looks great. The owner was very friendly and helpful, giving us great advice on what to see and do. Without a doubt, a highly recommended mountain getaway.

I'm giving it a 2 because I couldn't go to the house, but bookings through apps (based on what I've read and my experience) don't seem reliable. The owner claims he doesn't work with apps (in my case, Aloha Camp), and the day before my trip, I contacted him and he told me he had no booking from me and that I shouldn't come because he had already booked other people. The man was very kind, but after what I've read, I'm left wondering if it's mismanagement. The app, which I initially thought had scammed me, refunded my money and apologized, saying that the host was aware of the booking and the messages sent to both parties. So it's clear the app is reliable, and it's possible that someone has either impersonated the host (which I doubt) or that their management is disastrous, which is more likely. I told the man to file a complaint or claim compensation, since it was damaging their reputation, and he said he wasn't going to do anything because they don't have his tax information, which is strange, because thanks to this alleged identity theft, I'm leaving them a bad review. Which, coincidentally, is the same as other people's. Anyway, call before booking through apps.
