Our family experience—two adults and two children, ages 5 and 8—at Casa Rural Xenborda with its owner, Joxe Mari, was wonderful. From the initial booking assistance to the moments before arrival surrounded by breathtaking scenery, and finally arriving at this incredible place of unspoiled nature, the experience was truly special. The secluded house, complete with ponies that the children loved to feed and visit, was a delight. Despite the rainy weekend, we were able to enjoy all the nearby trails, which were incredible and truly remarkable, easy to hike with children, and thoroughly enjoyable. The house has everything you need, and every detail is carefully considered. We will definitely return. We are very grateful to our host for his recommendations.
The perfect place to take a break from the heat and the city, isolated from the noise and bustle, green, peaceful, and with spectacular, dreamy views. Jose Mari is an unbeatable host, very attentive at all times, and the house lacks nothing; everything is thought out down to the last detail, and it's clear that a lot of love and care has been invested in it. Perfectly clean! The ponies are an added attraction for children and adults alike. There are also squirrels and a bird feeder that can be seen constantly. The house is located in an area that offers several hiking trails, as well as trips to San Sebastian, France, etc. Highly recommended for a break for both couples and families with children. Due to the nature of the area, with its steep hills and steep slopes, a powerful car is recommended.
An excellent experience surrounded by nature and tranquility at Xenborda. Every detail made our stay comfortable and very welcoming (the beautiful fireplace was a big plus). Special mention to the owner, José Mari, a very approachable and thoughtful person who was always willing to help. Absolutely recommended.
The setting is spectacular. The house is charming. José Mari was incredibly attentive and provided us with all the necessary information to enjoy everything there is to see in the area. My only complaint is that the mattress was a bit soft. Otherwise, the house has all the necessary amenities: heating, a fireplace, a barbecue, Wi-Fi, a stereo, reading material... You'll undoubtedly have an unforgettable stay. Time stands still at Xenborda!
A country house in an exceptional setting, nestled in the forest and just 10 minutes from the village. The house lacks nothing, has everything you need, and is very well maintained. The owner is very attentive to everything.
