La sera, ci si ritrova attorno a un tavolo comune, con le finestre aperte sull'oscurità di un cielo che l'inquinamento luminoso non ha ancora raggiunto — le stelle, qui, sono fitte e basse.
D'estate, la piscina diventa il centro di gravità della giornata: ci si tuffa per sfuggire al caldo secco dell'Estremadura, prima di ripartire ad esplorare i sentieri che attraversano castagneti e boschi di querce. La proprietà è perfettamente adatta alle famiglie venute con i loro cani — gli animali apprezzano quanto i loro padroni la libertà dei luoghi. Il proprietario, unanimemente lodato per la sua gentilezza, fa in modo che il soggiorno si svolga nelle migliori condizioni possibili.
Alcune parole di onestà: la strada di accesso richiede un po' di pazienza, ma è proprio questo percorso tortuoso a tenere il mondo a distanza. E anche sotto la pioggia — i viaggiatori di Pasqua ne sono testimoni — la casa si rivela spettacolare, i suoi volumi generosi e la sua atmosfera ovattata trasformando ogni giornata grigia in un bozzolo.
Cosa portano via gli ospiti nelle loro valigie? Non solo foto di tramonti sulla sierra. Piuttosto un ritmo diverso, il ricordo di un cielo stellato improbabile, e quella tranquilla convinzione che esistano ancora luoghi dove ci si disconnette davvero.

We spent a few days there during Easter week and, despite the rain, we were delighted. The house was spectacular; in our case, we stayed in the goatherd's cottage. A stone house with thick walls, two very spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, and a beautiful, large fireplace that was easy to light and had excellent draft, heating the house very quickly. Everything was very clean and well-equipped. The surroundings are like something out of a fairytale; you're in the middle of a forest of oak and chestnut trees. It's also a very pleasant walk from the village, which is also very pretty and peaceful, with cobbled streets, granite houses, and a lovely church—for those who appreciate them. Carlos, the owner, was very attentive and thoughtful. He came to the village to accompany us to the house and gave us advice on routes and things to see in the area. We've already decided to return, as the rain was rather relentless this time.

It's a wonderful place. Surrounded by nature, spacious enough for large groups, and in great condition. The owner is incredibly friendly. Highly recommended! The only downside is that the access road is narrow and it would be nice if they fixed it.

An ideal place to disconnect if you love nature, walking in the countryside, and stargazing at night. Perfect for going with dogs. I stayed in the goat pen and enjoyed the pool. A refuge from the heat; I'll be back.

A spectacular house, quite remote but easily accessible by car with patience. The house is incredibly well-maintained, with everything you could possibly need and more. There's plenty of firewood, so you won't be cold. The photos don't do it justice; it's much better in person. The owner is very thoughtful and attentive, but sometimes he seemed overly focused on us, which was rather uncomfortable. That's my only complaint. But I would definitely return a thousand times. I also want to mention that the owner was incredibly flexible with our departure, which was much appreciated.

A dream house in a magical location, perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. Thanks to Carlos, the owner, for being incredibly welcoming, dedicated, attentive, and kind. He provided us with reviews, recommended outings, and quickly resolved any issues we had with the house. We would love to return and highly recommend it!
