My family had such a wonderful experience at the Italian cooking class here. Elena and Pietro were so warm, kind and patient and made the experience both rewarding and fun. Cooking in the wood fired oven made the meal all the more delicious. We made a beautiful and very generous 4 course meal that we enjoyed with their own wines whilst hearing about their family’s history. The setting is stunning, in the outskirts of the beautiful town of Greve. I highly recommend this special experience.

8 of us (4 couples) did the 4 hour cooking class which included a tour of the winery, a 5 course lunch all of which we prepared, and wine tasting of Chianti Classico throughout. Elena and her son Pietro were the consummate hosts and instructors. We made focaccia, bread, topping for crostini, fresh pasta, pork loin, and a dessert called Nona’s (grandmother’s) cake. Everything cooked in a wood fire oven. We cut up vegetables to add to homemade sauce Elena canned last summer with tomatoes from her garden. A beautiful setting, excellent organization, such kindness and encouragement throughout. It was without a doubt the highlight of our week in Tuscany.

Our stay at Elena’s was a truly magical experience. This was the first stop on our honeymoon and the property was even more incredible than the photos. The cooking class with Elena and Pietro was the highlight of our trip - so personable, excellent food and wine - and we can’t wait to make the recipes at home. And the breakfast! Everything was phenomenal. Elena is a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. The perfect first time in Tuscany and honeymoon destination, we can’t wait to return.
