L'Etape Cavalière

L'Etape Cavalière accommodates up to 32 people in a cottage setting in the heart of the Beaujolais region, in Beaujeu, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. With its 4 bedrooms, the property suits groups who wish to sleep under one roof without sacrificing privacy: the rooms allow for flexible arrangements depending on the group's composition, whether families with children, colleagues, or longtime friends.

The ground floor is designed to absorb communal life. The fireplace creates a natural gathering point in the evenings, particularly welcome during autumn or winter weekends in the Beaujolais hills. The barbecue extends meals outdoors whenever the weather allows, without complicated logistics. The dishwasher and washing machine reduce the organisational burden for multi-day stays — a detail that matters when there are 30 of you.

The cottage lends itself to several group formats. For a milestone birthday or a friends' getaway, the shared spaces allow for cooking, games, and socialising without getting in each other's way. For a close-knit team retreat, the relative seclusion of the property encourages focus and informal evening conversations. Extended families will find the space needed for a multigenerational meal, without having to spread guests across several separate accommodations. A low-key civil ceremony or an intimate celebration is also a viable option.

The games room provides an additional option in poor weather or for children, and allows evenings with the group to run late without leaving the property.

Beaujeu, the historic birthplace of Beaujolais, is a short walk or drive away, with its shops and wine cellars. The property is accessible from Lyon in under an hour.
