The building accommodates up to 26 people across 7 generous bedrooms, designed so that blended families, groups of friends or mixed generations can share the space without ever getting in each other's way. The communal areas are equal to the occasion: a large living room with a stone fireplace where autumn evenings take on a whole new dimension, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher to cut short the chores after long meals, and laundry handled without hassle thanks to the washing machine.

Outside, the barbecue beckons for open-air grilling whenever the weather allows — and in this sheltered valley, it allows it often. Children find plenty to keep them busy with the games provided, while the adults unwind on the terrace, a glass of Jasnières or Coteaux-du-Vendômois in hand, those little-known local wines you discover here almost by accident. Wi-Fi is available for those who can't do without it, though it would be a shame to spend too much time on it.

What guests take away from La Ferme des Pignons is rarely what they expected. It's the creak of floorboards underfoot on a misty morning, laughter spilling over from the big table on a July evening, the smell of a log fire mingled with the scent of garden herbs.
