About

At the heart of the Aosta Valley, in the village of Aymavilles, nestles Il Noce e la Strega — a guest house whose mysterious name already hints at its singular soul. Here, the Italian countryside unfolds in all its authenticity: a secluded, serene setting where silence is broken only by the breath of the mountain and the rustling of leaves. You arrive, set down your bags, and breathe a sigh of contentment. It becomes immediately clear why this place continues to captivate its visitors, year after year.

The house welcomes up to six guests in a deeply warm and family-like atmosphere. True to the spirit of a human-scale guest house, everything here invites you to slow down, to truly disconnect, and to savour those shared moments that make for the finest travel memories.

What makes Il Noce e la Strega truly unique is its rootedness in the local terroir. The house is home to an intimate restaurant where the cooking draws on produce from the farm and the surrounding region — a farm-to-table experience in the most genuine sense of the term. The set-price menu, offered at around thirty euros, unfolds like a sequence of sensations: each plate is a discovery, each bite a surprise for the palate. Visitors fortunate enough to have sat down at its table speak of a generosity and refinement rarely found in such a simple and welcoming setting.

For a memorable anniversary, a reunion among friends, a weekend with the extended family, or a countryside professional retreat, Il Noce e la Strega brings together everything needed for evenings that naturally stretch on around the table, in good spirits and easy company. The Aosta Valley, with its breathtaking landscapes, takes care of the rest.

With a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on 151 Google reviews, the place speaks for itself: you need only arrive to never want to leave.

Unbelievable find, unbelievable meal at a very reasonable price 30€ prix fixe. We’re talking farm to table, small, family oriented dining, each dish an exquisite sensation for your taste buds! Off the beaten path, make sure you have a good GPS to find it. Up in the hills, stunning views overlooking the Aosta Valley. Perfection!

Very isolated unique place with a True countryside athmosphere. Quiet and peaceful. Magnifigue food at the small cozy restaurant.

Weirdly enough no response to our email, calls and instagram message. Seem to be closed? Even drove by since we were in the neighborhood but nobody there. Pity because it looked so good!

I live in the area but hadn't yet tried the cuisine at this agriturismo... big mistake! A charming place with a beautiful view, a stone house that looks like a castle. I was here for dinner; to reach the dining room, you go down a few steps amidst greenery, a vegetable garden, animals, and charming fairy lights. The atmosphere is truly enchanting. Dinner is served in a small, meticulously designed room with stone vaulted ceilings (probably the old stables), wooden tables and chairs, and very original chandeliers. There's not much space, so be sure to call to reserve. And then dinner! What can I say? Every dish is a delight. The menu is fixed and seasonal, with excellent home-grown produce (perhaps not recommended if you like a wide selection from the à la carte menu). Two appetizers, a first course, a second course, and dessert. Simple dishes but authentic flavors, and every time the balance was perfect. Sometimes a dish might be a little flawed, but instead... everything was delicious! It's family-run, and the atmosphere is truly welcoming. Perfect for a dinner with friends or a romantic evening, I'll definitely be back to try other menus! Be warned: it's not the easiest place to get there; it's up some quiet streets between Aymavilles and Villeneuve, and there are few signs (there are two signs for "Il Noce e la strega," but they're hard to see).
