Gîte La Vieille Ferme
About
Gîte La Vieille Ferme is a character cottage located in Saint-Geniès, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in the Périgord Noir. The building, typical of rural Périgord architecture, retains its exposed stone walls and original timber framework. It accommodates up to 16 guests across 8 bedrooms, making it well suited to large family gatherings or group stays with friends.
The property has a private outdoor swimming pool, available for use in season. A barbecue is set up outside, adjacent to an outdoor dining area. Inside, a dishwasher and washing machine are available, both of which make extended group stays more practical. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
For indoor leisure time, a selection of games is provided for guests. Saint-Geniès is a medieval village home to a listed Romanesque church and a 15th-century château, both within walking distance of the village centre. The village lies around fifteen kilometres from Sarlat-la-Canéda, the region's main commercial and tourist hub. The Lascaux caves and the Dordogne valley are reachable in under thirty minutes by car.
The immediate surroundings are rural, with views over the wooded hills of the Périgord. The property's capacity and outdoor spaces make it a coherent option for group stays requiring independence and comfort without relying on hotel services.
