Gite de Poudally

Nestled in the Lot, in the heart of Occitania, the Gite de Poudally is a rural cottage offering a peaceful and spacious setting, ideal for large group stays.

The accommodation can sleep up to 32 people, making it a suitable option for family gatherings, residential seminars, or reunions among friends. It has 9 bedrooms spread across the property, providing comfortable sleeping arrangements for all guests. The cottage layout encourages communal living, with shared spaces allowing every member of the group to come together under one roof.

In terms of facilities, the gite offers a barbecue for outdoor dining, a dishwasher to ease day-to-day management during longer stays, and a washing machine that allows groups to settle in for an extended period without any particular logistical constraints. These practical amenities contribute to the guests' independence and make the stay run more smoothly, especially for larger groups who wish to handle their own meals on site.

Lalbenque is a commune in the Lot, a rural département located between Cahors and Figeac, in a region shaped by the landscapes of the Quercy. The area is known for its limestone plateaus, its villages built in golden stone, and its gastronomic heritage — most notably the black truffle. Lalbenque is home to one of the most renowned truffle markets in France. The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for hiking and cycling through valleys and limestone plateaus. The region's tourist attractions are within reasonable distance: Cahors and its Valentré bridge, the Pech Merle caves, the hilltop villages of the Lot, and further south, the bastide towns of the Quercy Blanc. The area thus makes a convenient base for exploring one of the most unspoiled départements in south-west France, while benefiting from a high-capacity accommodation that is rare in such a rural setting.
