If you are looking for cheap and cozy accomodation close to nature and good flying spots, look no further! This hostel provides a comfy bed, good wc and shower facilities as well as a common area with an open kitchen. Jürgen, the proprietor, is a long time hang glider pilot himself and can give you pro tips on prime spots in the region.
I camped there for 1 Week and met alot of nice people, many go there for Dragonflying, it is next to a nice Hiking Path and a Beautiful Mountain. You should not camp on the Mountain, but you can go up there and it is a Beautiful View. Friendly People, unless you plan to camp on the Mountain, do not camp on the Mountain! But good food in the Gite and nice friendly People. Have to give 3 Stars because I was Kicked out, only because I Plan to Camp on the Mountain. Otherwise I really liked the Place.
I went for a 1-week hang gliding course at the Drachenflugzentrum Gîte de Cabrières, and the experience was exhilarating. The house is furnished quite modestly, but it's very clean and the atmosphere very authentic. The area offers possibilities for lots of more or less extreme sports, and the mentoring for hang gliding is great. I will most certainly return - maybe I'll meet you there ;)!
