Casa Silvia

About
Nestled in the heart of the splendid Puglia region, Casa Silvia opens the doors to an enchanting stay in the Province of Brindisi. Just a few kilometers from Ostuni, the famous "white city," this haven of peace embodies the authenticity of southern Italy, where history and nature blend into an idyllic setting. This corner of Italy is renowned for its vast olive groves, golden beaches, and generous cuisine where Mediterranean flavors shine brightly.
Casa Silvia, with its stone facade typical of the region, nestled in a green setting, charms at first sight. The building has managed to retain its old-world charm while offering modern comforts: imagine spending your evenings under a beautifully restored vaulted ceiling, in a welcoming living room where a warm atmosphere prevails. With its five elegantly furnished bedrooms, it can accommodate up to twelve people, ideal for family reunions or gatherings with friends.
The kitchen, equipped with everything you could dream of for preparing a feast with local products, opens onto a terrace where the song of cicadas accompanies your meals under a starlit sky. Just a few steps away, the private pool invites you to moments of relaxation, surrounded by the sweet scent of oleanders.
The words of Vittorio, the owner, resonate in every corner of this house: passion and dedication. His warm welcome is frequently praised by visitors, who also commend the impeccable cleanliness of the place and the friendly atmosphere it exudes. Ostuni, with its picturesque alleys and whitewashed buildings, is just minutes away, ready to reveal its hidden treasures to you.
As you leave, you will take with you much more than memories of breathtaking landscapes. You will depart with a light heart, imbued with the soul of Puglia, enriched by shared moments and a regained serenity. Casa Silvia is not just a simple stay; it's an experience to be lived.

Property in Ostuni, near Silvia House At first glance, it looks nice, renovated while maintaining its original stone structure, with a vaulted ceiling, but alas, that's all. The amenities inside the house are absolutely inadequate. Let's start with the most important thing: if you rent in the winter, considering you're in the south... it's cold!!! The air conditioning doesn't heat the room enough; at night, this problem hits like a tsunami!!! It's cold. Luckily, I brought my all-season duvet from home (bought on Amazon for €29.90), which mitigated the cold, because the blankets provided by the property are completely INDECENT (see attached photo). Besides being lightweight, they're old and smell of stale dust, not even during military service. After freezing to death, you also have to empty the water bottle on the terrace, risking breaking your neck. Cleanliness...I don't want to talk about it, I'll just post a photo of the shower!!! You decide!! Let's not even talk about the beds. Two single mattresses on two bed frames joined together!!! And I'll stop there!!! Let's move on to the TV in the house: a 17-inch monitor!!!! But only one because the guests in the second bedroom don't even have that!!! KITCHEN In all vacation rentals that allow you to use the kitchen, beyond pots and pans, dishes, and other supplies, are insufficient. Guests should be provided with at least the essentials for cooking, at least for the first day: oil, salt, a pack of pasta, a bottle of water!!!! THIS IS THE BASIS OF ANYONE WHO WANT TO HOST!!!! The fridge in a house that sleeps 4 people, last but not least, is not enough!!!! Lastly, the apartment sleeps 4, but you always have to stay together. If you're two couples, God forbid one couple decides to do something different; they don't have a house key... Because only one key is provided for the apartment. I also pointed out these shortcomings to the owner, and I hope he takes note of them and takes steps to improve the property. If I could give 0 stars, I would!!!! To respond to your comment... 1. Parking in front of the house wasn't required... but at least directions were given, but they ignore that this was the minor issue. 2. A bag was left out of paper only. I wasn't there on waste collection day, so I told you I had put the bag out. There was no other rubbish of any kind, as in your apartment, at most, you could make tea (which I didn't make), as there are pots and pans and cooking accessories as if they were in a dollhouse. I didn't touch your kitchen!!! So don't talk nonsense!!!! 3. As for the oil and salt issue, you don't ask for a large bottle, just a small bottle, a bottle of water. That would be the bare minimum, but I've always found that everywhere I've been!!! If this is your professionalism, you still have a lot to learn from criticism!! I've been doing this job for 30 years and I'm still doing it. Instead of yelling at dissatisfied guests, calm down. See how you can improve and make sure no one else has anything to complain about.
A very welcoming and clean apartment, built with the characteristic Ostuni stone that creates a warm and homely atmosphere, complete with all the comforts you need for a holiday. Located just a few meters from the central square and the historic center of Ostuni. The owner is very kind and attentive, and takes care of every guest's needs. Not to mention the excellent value for money...I recommend it to everyone!
I personally know the owner of this establishment. Vittorio is a friend, passionate about his work, and Ostuni is a truly unique location. I recommend this experience to everyone!
