The house is magnificent — guests say so unanimously. The photos barely do it justice: in person, it is even more beautiful and welcoming. The interior is warm and thoughtfully finished down to the last detail, with comfortable rooms for a group and a remarkably well-equipped kitchen — the kind where the urge to cook together comes naturally, where breakfasts stretch on, and where dinners become memories. Everything you could possibly need is there, without having to think about it.
But it is outside that the magic truly takes hold. The garden and terraces are just a few steps from the bedroom door, and in return they offer an atmosphere you never forget: morning coffee in the golden Extremaduran light, evening aperitifs at sunset on the tiered terraces, dinners under the stars when the heat lingers into the night. Conchi and Clara, the owners, embody that natural, warm hospitality that truly makes the difference — they have thought of everything and know how to be present without ever being intrusive.
Around Hoyos, the Sierra de Gata offers days' worth of discovery: medieval villages clinging to the hillsides, winding roads through blossoming cherry orchards, local markets overflowing with cured meats and regional cheeses. You return in the evening pleasantly tired in just the right way.
What do guests take away with them? Perhaps nothing tangible — just that precious feeling of having truly switched off, of having shared something authentic with the people they love, in a place that exists nowhere else.

An incredible weekend, not only because of the charm of Hoyos and the villages we visited in the Sierra de Gata. Terracea is the perfect place to relax. The house is wonderful, and the gardens are simply perfect for unwinding or having a barbecue and enjoying a leisurely after-dinner chat. Having breakfast on one of the terraces while watching the sunrise is amazing. I'll definitely be back. Thanks to the hosts, who made our weekend perfect.

The house is absolutely wonderful. Everything is even more beautiful and welcoming than in the photos. The house has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped, the bed linens are amazing, and the terraces and patio are so inviting you'll never want to leave. What's more, the village and the surrounding area are spectacular. The owners are wonderful too. In short, a perfect rural retreat, highly recommended for a long weekend getaway.

We spent three days at Terrazea and loved the house. It's perfect in every way and equipped with everything you need. The garden and terraces are wonderful. Conchi and Clara were incredibly welcoming. We'll try to come back in the spring. Thank you for everything.

Since I didn't book through Booking.com, I'm writing this review via Google because it's worth sharing our experience at this wonderful country house in Hoyos. Two families stayed for three nights in August, and it was spectacular. In my opinion, it's the best country house we've ever stayed in. Absolutely no detail was overlooked. The decor and furnishings were incredible. The beds were incredibly comfortable with cotton sheets. It was luxurious and tasteful, and there were also interesting books and charming spaces throughout the house perfect for enjoying a good read. The staff were lovely and very understanding; they even let us leave late (because we didn't want to leave). Honestly, we'd live there! :-)

Beautiful country house with stunning terraces. Very comfortable beds. The welcome touches were much appreciated. The owners and the lady who gave us the keys were very attentive and friendly. By the way, the village of Hoyos and the surrounding area are wonderful. In short, highly recommended, and we can't wait to return.
