About

A few kilometres from Pamplona, along the Camino Francés walked by thousands of pilgrims each year, Larrasoaña nestles in the Arga valley like one of Navarre's best-kept secrets. The stone village, cut through by a river with slate-grey reflections, belongs to that rural, authentic Spain where time seems to slow of its own accord. It is here, in this setting of green hills and beech forests, that Casa Rural San Nicolás opens its doors to those seeking more than a simple roof over their heads.

The house knows how to welcome large gatherings without ever losing its soul as a family home. Several comfortable rooms — the beds, universally praised by guests, are remarkably soft — can easily sleep a dozen people, whether a group of friends, reunited families, or a team in search of an unusual setting. The large, fully equipped kitchen invites shared meals that spill over into endless evenings. The MasterChef Events team itself chose these walls for a creative weekend: proof that the space inspires as much as it accommodates.

Behind the success of a stay here, there is also Nuria. The owner embodies the Navarrese art of hospitality — attentive, always on hand, capable of defusing an unexpected logistical hiccup with the same calm with which she would pour a glass of txakoli. Groups who have stayed here all point to this warm presence, this invisible safety net that transforms an accommodation into a memory.

What guests leave with is rarely what they expected. Not just the walks along the Arga or day trips into Pamplona. Rather, the feeling of having lived through something together — that morning when someone made coffee for everyone, that night when conversations stretched on and on, that suspended moment unique to houses with real character. Casa Rural San Nicolás is one of those houses.

On the weekend of November 14th, the MasterChef Events team stayed at this magnificent house. A special thank you to Nuria for her kindness and hospitality. We will definitely be back! A 10 out of 10!

The house is worth the price. The bedrooms and kitchen were great, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well-equipped. Four families stayed and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves with plenty of space for everyone. If I had to find fault, it would be that it lacks a play area for the children and the garden could be better utilized; it's very large, but there's really nothing there. An improved barbecue would also be nice. If they improve these details, it would definitely be a 10/10. Despite the cold weather, we weren't cold at all in the house—it was wonderful.

A fantastic house for a few days' stay near Pamplona. Eleven of us stayed in this house. The owner was incredibly helpful. We even had an organizational issue, and she was always on top of things. The house is perfect, everything is brand new. We had a barbecue and thoroughly enjoyed the garden. The village, while not very lively, is very pretty, rustic yet well-maintained. Highly recommended. Thank you very much. Best regards.

We spent a week with three families and were quite happy. The house is very new and of high quality. The kitchen is fully equipped and has plenty of utensils. Perhaps the garden, which is quite large, could use some extra fun, like a swimming pool, trampoline, games, or a large clothesline... Highly recommended.

We loved the cottage. It's superbly maintained and has tons of thoughtful touches that will make your stay unforgettable. It has a very large, well-kept garden. The beds are very comfortable. Nuria is a delight, always attentive and very pleasant. We'll definitely stay again when we return to the area.
