Casa Rural las Gamellas

About
Nestled in the heart of the Jerte Valley, in that wild and secretive Extremadura that hurried travelers never discover, the village of Rebollar seems suspended between cherry trees and sierra. It is here, far from tourist circuits, that the two houses of Casa Rural las Gamellas find their home — two independent cottages that together form a generous refuge for groups in search of authenticity.
From the moment you cross the threshold, the tone is set: the spaces are vast, the rooms bright, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The comfortable beds invite recovery after a day spent walking the valley's trails, while the carefully considered details in the bathrooms — hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel — serve as a reminder that everything has been thought of so that you need not think of anything. Whether you are a large family, a group of friends, or a gathering assembled for a bachelorette party, the two houses, combined or separate, adapt to your configuration.
What truly makes the difference here is Jorge. The owner is one of those rare hosts who combines discretion with availability, always present at the right moment, capable of smoothing over an unexpected situation with a smile. His advice on the region is worth the trip in itself: the hilltop villages to explore, the local producers, the walks along the Jerte River when spring tints the hillsides white and pink.
The valley itself is an itinerary. In winter, the crackling fireplaces and the gentle isolation of the Extremaduran countryside create an almost magical atmosphere. In summer, the cool nights contrast pleasantly with the heat of the day.
What guests leave with, at the end of it all, is not just the memory of a well-equipped house. It is that rare feeling of having lived somewhere — not merely stayed — in a corner of Spain that still looks the way it always has.

Two very spacious and well-equipped houses in a lovely village in the Jerte Valley. Comfortable beds, nice touches in the bathrooms. To improve: the shower screen was removable and could be a bit cleaner. The downstairs living/dining room has no ventilation windows. Recommended for groups.
We spent a few days there over Christmas and both houses had all the comforts. The rooms were spacious and had en-suite bathrooms—with thoughtful touches like a hairdryer, shampoo, and shower gel. The house had a fireplace and heating, so it was very warm despite being quite large. The surrounding area is lovely for walks, and there's a 6 km circular route nearby. We'll definitely be back!
We spent three days here for our hen party and we absolutely loved it. The owner, Jorge, is a delight and a pleasure to deal with. He was very attentive and even helped us out of a tight spot—a perfect 10! All the rooms have fans and the kitchen was fully equipped. The pool is wonderful. The property consists of two houses, but we were able to enjoy the pool almost every day. The views are spectacular and the location is incredibly peaceful. A real treat.
The house is fantastic, it's huge, and the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. It's actually two houses joined together. The owner is very friendly and approachable. The only downside is that to get to the pool, you have to leave the house and walk around it along the street. You have to bring everything: food, drinks, towels, etc. We went back to the house many times because something was always missing or the children wanted something to eat. We had to leave the pool area at midnight.
The house is beautiful, very clean, with large, spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and TV. The kitchen is fully equipped. The pool and barbecue area are especially fantastic. The views are spectacular. The owner's hospitality was outstanding. A relaxing and unwinding holiday, which is exactly what we were looking for.
