About

Nestled in the picturesque region of Puglia, in Otranto, the Bed Belvedere embodies the very essence of Italian hospitality. This charming guesthouse, bathed in the southern Italian sun, promises an authentic escape in the heart of a city where history and nature converge. Otranto, renowned for its paradisiacal beaches and medieval streets, invites you to discover a lesser-known Italy, where every corner tells a story.

At Bed Belvedere, the morning begins with a gentle melody of waves that can be glimpsed with a simple glance towards the sea, accessible by a short walk. However, its dynamic location on two lively streets translates into a vibrant energy, lending the guesthouse a nightlife that some find exhilarating, while others may find it disruptive. The suites, modern and well-equipped, offer cozy comfort, with enough character to make you feel at home. Despite mixed reviews about the ambient noise, several visitors highlight the comfort of the beds and the modernity of the facilities, making each stay a pleasant experience.

The staff, attentive and generous, know how to make up for small mishaps, as evidenced by those who received an upgrade following a room preparation oversight. These simple gestures make a difference, demonstrating a genuine concern for the well-being of visitors.

Beyond the walls of Bed Belvedere, the treasures of Otranto await you. Whether it's a stroll along the old town ramparts or a tasting of local specialties, every moment spent here leaves an indelible mark. Upon leaving Bed Belvedere, guests carry with them the everlasting memories of blazing sunsets, moments shared around a generous table, and the feeling of having touched the true dolce vita of Puglia.

This hotel is a total win if you're looking to stay near the beach. It's just a quick walk to the water, although it's a bit far from the old town. The prices are really good, making it an excellent value for your money. The staff are amazing—super friendly and really helpful. When we asked for a boiler, they got it for us right away. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and the beds are so comfy. You can also make the room really dark at night, which is great for getting a good night's sleep. Breakfast is very good; not a huge selection, but what's there is quality, including real espresso and cappuccinos. The only small issue is that the rooms can be a bit noisy, but for the price, it's a minor thing. All in all, we'd go back without a second thought. You really can't beat the value.

AVOID | Misleading - this is a motel, not a b&b. - On two busy streets with noise that keeps you awake at night until 4 - Door directly on the busy street. Does not feel safe and certainly not relaxing - Pictures are based on suite. The lower rooms are completely different and feel cheap - No windows in apartment - One window in bathroom that could not lock, thus an apartment that never closes - Owner is rude and acts like everything is ok, also if you (and others) tell him it's not Overall, if you happen to be unlucky and stay in the lower rooms, this is a motel. Not a holiday stay. For the first time in my life, i left after one night while booking for three. No refunds were given, even though the pictures were intentionally misleading. We went to an equally priced hotel and it was great - thus the value for money here is also terrible. Please avoid at all costs. Unsure? Read the other bad reviews.

The cleaning lady forgot to prepare our room so we received a free upgrade to the suite. Both rooms are modern and provided of any comfort. We slept well even though there was some noise from the traffic outside, but it was due to a festival on Saturday evening. There are 3 different cakes for breakfast, plus fresh fruit and so many different cereal ans biscuits you can hardly count them all. There's also some savoury option. There's an automated machine that makes coffee and cappuccino but it's definitely better if you pay the bar to make one with real milk. Train station is just 3 minutes away, the city center is less than 10 by walk. Considering the tourism in the area, 55 euros per room a day seems fair
