Azienda Agrituristica Piccolo - Fattoria di Grenne

Came here for lunch on our way to Taormina from Cefalù and I can only describe it as the best food we had on our trip in Sicily. The service from start to finish was absolutely exceptional and the staff were very helpful and warm. The stunning views and the adventurous drive up the mountain only added to the experience. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to try authentic and fresh Sicilian food.

We stopped for lunch on the way from Cefalu to Taormina. We pulled up at around 1300 and had a broken English/Italian conversation with the lovely lady host, after which she sat us down in their lovely veranda opposite the pool. From there we were brought a glass of Prosecco and some light snacks, before a full spread of antipasto. A carafe of vino blanco and an exquisite pasta main later, and we were full, happy and ashamedly ready to opt out of the further offered carne main and dessert. If we could have drank wine and vegetated in bliss until the sun went down we would have taken it with arms open, but with another 1.5 hours to go until Taormina conservative decisions prevailed. An outstanding spread of food, amazing wine, unbeatable service and setting. I’d recommend to anyone to take the winding hill road up to this beautiful hidden gem - by far and away the best meal we’ve had in Sicily.

A panoramic agritourism spot above Brolo, nestled in nature. Relaxing ambiance, exquisite Sicilian dishes, and a menu priced at 35 euros. Limited local wine selection, perhaps red is the best choice. What makes the experience special is the staff’s warmth: genuine and down-to-earth people. Recommended for an authentic evening.
