Giovanna was such a delightful and friendly host. The house is full of character: not a lot of mod cons, but that’s not why you’re there. The pool is large, with lots of loungers, and there’s a nice onsite restaurant. Warning: the top floor rooms can get very hot in the summer, but they will give you an electric fan if you ask for one.

We have stayed at the Villa Poggiolo twice already and we are looking forward to spending time there again in the future. Whenver we stay at Il Poggiolo, Giovanna really makes us feel like we are home away from home. We like very much being in a country setting, but very close to town and wonderful places to visit. We really enjoy the ambiance in this Umbrian villa, our strolls in the park and being close to beautiful horses.

The villa is just lovely, it is a well proportioned building carefully renovated and furnished. In the grounds there is a good size pool and a restaurant is located in what used to be the chapel. The food they serve is very well made with fresh ingredients.
